He’s shined in improv, starred in his own show and now Wayne Brady is hitting up the stage in new production of “Rent.”
Directed by Neil Patrick Harris, “Rent” will run at this year’s Hollywood Bowl on Aug. 6th and 7th at 8:30 p.m. and Aug. 8th at 7:30 p.m.
Brady will be joined with Pussycat Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger and High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens, as well as Gwen Stewart, Skylar Astin, Collins Pennie, Telly Leung, Tracie Thoms and Aaron Tveit.

Just For Laughs just confirmed the 2010 line up for the Toronto Festival. Wayne Brady will be hosting the most prestigious event of the festival, the West Jet Gala, on Thursday, July 8th at 7pm. The festival is scheduled to run July 6th-11th.
Have you ever heard of this event? Just For Laughs is the world’s largest and most prestigious comedy festival. It debuted in 1983 and has since grown to represent 23 days of laughter, 1.5 million festival goers, more than 1500 artists in 12 countries and more than 1200 outdoor and indoor performances. Orlando native, Wayne Brady, is an actor, singer and comedian best known for his role on the hit comedy series, Who’s Line Is It Anyway?
Brady started out on Britain’s theatrical version of the show and crossed over for the American version, making his first television debut. In 2003 he won a Primetime Emmy for his spot on the show.
Wayne Brady gained more commercial success with his own variety show (2001) and talk show (2002) both titled, The Wayne Brady Show. In 2004, Brady also made his Broadway debut in the musical Chicago. (Read More…)
